Committees
The following committees need members to assist the swim team board. Please note that these committees are not a requirement. Therefore, being a member of one of these committees does not fulfill the parent volunteer requirement. However, we would love your help! Thank you for partnering with us to make 2025 a success!
Fundraising/Sponsorship Committee: This committee will be co-chaired and report to the treasurer. Responsibilities include: Develop annual fundraising requirements. Raise funds to sustain the team's budget by organizing team events and general fundraising activities. Set annual sponsorship goals, update team sponsorship form as needed, and secure team sponsorship. Coordinate with the vice president to order team shirts and sponsor logos. Order team sponsor banners.
Social Committee: Coordinating and facilitating the “Swim Buddy” program. Encouraging team spirit through creating posters and team chants. Planning team theme days. Coordinating the purchase of swim team spirit gear. Organization of end of season team party, coach's gifts, etc.
Events Committee: Planning and running team dinners and the end of season party.
New Families Committee: Creating a “New Family Swim Packet." Connecting new families with returning families. Serving as a resource to new families to ensure they feel included and welcomed.
Concessions Committee: Committee will have one chair and will report to the treasurer. Responsibilities include: Menu development, determination and purchase of required concession supplies. Organization, storage and inventory of concessions equipment and supplies. Equipment maintenance, training, and purchasing. Coordinate with volunteers to ensure meet set up, staffing and tear down requirements are fulfilled. Negotiate arrangements with outside vendors in coordination with the treasurer. Accept and track all funding received during meet concessions.
Records/Ribbons Committee: Recording triple winners at meets and team records being broken. Distributing ribbons at the practice following each swim meet. Coordinating end of the season swimmer awards.
