The Idlewild Tidal Waves Swim Team, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is seeking sponsors for its summer 2026 youth swim season. Our team competes in the Rappahannock Swim League (RSL) and is open to all residents of the Village of Idlewild in the City of Fredericksburg. We anticipate that approximately 75 swimmers, ages 4-18, will participate this summer. Our swim meets typically have an average attendance of over 400 participants and spectators.
Our Purpose: The goal of our ten-week program is to provide children with the opportunity to learn and refine swimming techniques, practice good sportsmanship, and understand the importance of staying physically active. As they progress throughout the season, children will also learn that hard work and dedication are key to successfully achieving their goals.
How Can You Help?
We would like to invite your business to consider sponsoring our team. It presents a fantastic opportunity for your company to support a program that promotes sportsmanship, self-discipline, self- esteem, dedication, perseverance, motivation, and teamwork. Sponsorship also offers excellent visibility for your business among the residents of the 785 homes in the Village of Idlewild, as well as the hundreds of families from the Fredericksburg area who attend our home meets.
As a sponsor, your company will receive recognition in keeping with the level of support provided. Please review the sponsorship benefits outlined on the next page and decide which sponsorship level best aligns with your company. We are a non-profit organization, which means that after your donation, you will receive a donation form allowing you to deduct the donation on your taxes.
In-Kind Sponsorships and Other Sponsorship Opportunities
We also welcome the generous donation of company goods or services. Contributing in this way would provide excellent exposure to your business.
Depending on your business, there may be additional opportunities that would be a great fit for our team. For example, if you own a restaurant, you could donate food items for our team dinners/awards banquet or to sell as concessions at our home swim meets. Alternatively, if you offer a product that could benefit our team, we would be open to exploring that as well. We are happy to discuss any other ideas you may have and work together to create mutually beneficial opportunities.
